Ah, crazy good weekend. A couple weeks ago Michelle told me to save this weekend as completely booked, but didn't tell me what was up. She just gradually hinted that we'd be going somewhere, and little other clues. It turned out she reserved the weekend at a hotel in santa barbara, and we had a super awesome time. We got there late friday afternoon, and she'd gotten us roller blades, so we skated up and down the beach, which was really nice. Then we went to a fancy italian dinner and went drinking, which was pretty fun too. Saturday morning, went to a cool breakfast place, then we kind of wanted to go to a spa but couldn't find one with hot baths. we went up to the hills and hiked around in the botanical gardens, which was really cool, then we went back to the beach. it was kind of windy, so we dug a hole and cuddled up in it (so cute!) then we did manage to find a hotbaths place, and we had the best bath anyone in the world has ever had. fancy lights and soaps and salts and things... felt super good. sunday morning we did the other part of her gift, which was a full-body massage at a really nice massage parlor. it was soooo good. hehe, i'm pretty sure part of their "aroma therapy" involved nitrous oxide. but it felt amazing. I want one of those every week. And michelle was super nice and sweet all weekend, and we had a super-great time. best weekend ev4r.
